Rian Ellis is a 2010 RHP/SS/3B that attends Great Bridge HS and resides in Chesapeake, VA with a 6'0", 175 lb. frame. Rian has a young athletic build with a good amount of room to fill out. He showed a lot of promise for his age at the showcase. At the plate Rian has an aggressive approach and will hit the ball to any part of the field. In the field Rian circles the ball well and shows off an accurate arm. His arm strength is well above average for his age. On the mound Rian throws from an OH arm slot with compact mechanics. He has a smooth arm action with nice cut on the ball and will throw strikes. For his off-speed pitches Rian featured a tight 12 to 6 CB with good depth. Rian is a young prospect with good potential and a player that we should hear about quit a bit in the next few years.
