C.J. Rose is a 2008 C with a 6'2'', 180 lb. frame from St Peters MO, who attends Fort Zumwalt South HS. He has a nice athletic frame with good length and strength potential. Rose has played mostly third base and pitcher in the past but has converted full time to catcher and has the tools and body to excel at that position. Rose has very good agility for his size and shows his athleticism. He threw 78 in catcher's gear and has been up around the 90 mph mark as a pitcher, so arm strength won't be a question mark. He receives the ball easily around the zone but still is getting used to back handing the ball and blocking to his right side. Offensively, Rose has a quiet, controlled approach to the ball and a full, aggressive swing with very good extension out front. His big cut will leave him out front on a lot of off speed pitches but he looks like he can really drive the hard stuff over the plate. The ball comes off his bat hard on contact. Rose is a strong tools type player who could really develop as he fine tunes his skills. Follow him closely. Rose is a very good student.

Charles Rose is a 2008 shortstop/pitcher from Fort Sumwalt South HS in St Peters, Missouri, with a lean and athletic 6'0/170 pound frame. Charles pitches from a 3/4 arm slot and hides the ball well. His fastball has movement at 84 mph. Rose's curveball compliments well at 65 mph and he also throws a 64 mph changeup. Charles is a right handed hitter that hits from a slightly open stance and generates good bat speed. Rose is a definite 2008 follow and an excellent student as well.
