Dan Capeless is a 2006 first baseman/outfielder from Centerville, Massachusetts, with a strong and stocky 6'1"/215 pound frame. Capeless is a power left handed bat with a good approach at the plate. He hits with a small stride and has quick hands. Dan is a patient hitter with leverage in his swing and very good bat speed. At first base, he is smooth defensively. Capeless moves well around the bag and has good range. Dan is also an excellent student.

Capeless is a 2006 1B from Centerville, MA with a big strong 6'0"/195 pound body. He has quick feet and good range with a smooth arm action at 1B. He has good instincts around the bag and plays the position very well. He topped out at 74 mph across the infield. He hits from a relaxed stance with a consistent inside out approach. He made solid contact consistently and pounded line drives from gap to gap. He has a quick bat with lots of speed and shows good power potential. He has some good developing tools and will be a definite prospect to watch for 2006. Dan is a very good student.

Dan Capeless -- Capeless is a broad shouldered sophomore first baseman from Massachusetts with strength throughout. He’s gained some weight in the last 6 months and he’s going to have to keep this under control. His ticket is going to be his left handed bat. Capeless has a very pretty swing, with great balance and rhythm to it. His hand strength is well above average and Capeless generates impressive bat speed. His hand strength and balance enable him to wait back on balls and line them to left field or turn on pitches in his wheelhouse with loft power. Defensively, Capeless profiles to first base only. Capeless also threw three innings and had one of the most unconventional over the top deliveries we’ve seen in a long time. His fastball topped out at 80 mph but Capeless’ curveball was a nasty downer at times that got some strikeouts. You pretty much have to see it to believe it. Dan is a very good student.

Capeless is a sophomore 1B from a top High School program. He showed one of the many big bats we saw at the Northeast Underclass showcase. He has a playable arm at 1B, showed a big tailing action on his throw which might play out well on the mound soon. Most important, he packed a big punch with the wood bat. His LH swing is pretty, he hit all weekend with some power and he has a lot of potential to get even better. He pulls off the ball at times, but that's about his only weakness at the plate. This kid can hit! He was selected to the Top Propsect team as the starting 1B. Dan is an excellent student.
