Corey Swickle is a 2005 right handed pitcher/first baseman from Hillsborough, New Jersey. He is solidly built at 5'10", 185 lbs. Swickle showed good life on the mound with an 83 mph heavy fastball, that bore into righties and had good sink. His curve ball was thrown at two different speeds, and were both effective. He threw a big breaking slower curveball (63-65 mph) and a harder slider type one at 67-69 mph. They both were very good and consistently around the plate. As a hitter, Swickle showed an even stance with some power potential. He had no stride and had a good high finish on his swing. Swickle has the potential to be a two way player at the next level, but will definitely help a program on the mound.
