2006 Mid-Atlantic Top Prospect Showcase
Alex Settle is a 2007 IF/C that attends Warren County HS and resides in Front Royal, VA with a 5'8", 165 lb. frame. Alex has an athletic build and showed a solid all-around game. At the plate Alex has a good approach and makes consistent contact. Once he gets stronger he has the tools too really start driving the ball consistently. Alex looked very solid in the infield. He has good hands with a short quick release. Alex is good to the ball and looks like he would make a solid second baseman. Alex made a brief appearance on the mound where he threw from a 3/4 arm slot with a long arm circle. He could be a pitcher that sees some innings for his high school team. Alex is a player that will attract attention from many smaller colleges.
