Nathaniel Hiner is a 2007 RHP/C that attends Gar-Field HS and resides in Dale City, VA with a 6'2", 190 lb. frame. Nathaniel has a tall athletic build with solid tools across the board. On the mound Nathaniel throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a short loose arm action. He has a live arm and does a good job of getting his lower body involved in his delivery. His curveball is an average 10 to 4 CB that could use some tightening and he might want to mix in a change-up on occasion. At the plate Nathaniel shows good pop with a short swing and good bat speed. He shows good line-drive contact and should be very good against high school pitching. Behind the plate Nathaniel produced one of the best pop times at the event. (2.01) While his tools are average behind the plate he makes up for it with a very quick release. Nathaniel is a player that will attract the attention of many mid-level college programs.
