Stephen Wiley is a 2008 1B/OF with a 6'1'', 170 lb. frame from Anaheim, California, who attends Loara High School. Wiley has a good frame that is projectable. Defensively he has solid footwork around the first base bag. He gets off the base quickly, and he has the ability to pick balls in the dirt. He has a short arm circle on his throws that were 73 mph across the diamond. At the plate he is a left handed hitter who hits from a wide base with a step back load. He shows bat speed through the zone with a line drive swing plane. He keeps his hands back on off-speed pitches. He gets his bat through the zone well making consistent contact. Wiley is a good student as well.
