Mason Guymon is a 2008 C/MIF with a 5'9'', 160 lb. frame from Oak Ridge, TN who attends Oak Ridge HS. He has a medium build with some wirey strength. Guymon showed good quickness behind the plate and he stays short and compact in his actions. His fundamentals in footwork and blocking are sound. Guymon threw 71 mph during drills with a best pop time of 2.05. Offensively, Guymon hits from a high hand set up with an upper body rotational swing. He has some quickness and strength in his bat when he keeps his swing short and flashed some gap power. He's a patient hitter who is looking for his pitch to hit and can go the opposite way with his swing. Guymon is a sound little player who has some skills and will keep improving as he adds strength.
