Michael Desanto is a 2008 MIF with a 5'8'', 165 lb. frame from Upper Darby, PA who attends Upper Darby HS. He has a short frame but some present strength. Desanto is a smooth defensive middle infielder who can play in the middle of the field at the next level. He had a sprained ankle prior to the showcase and didn't run the 60 but that didn't seem to effect his game quickness, as he was quick and smooth to balls and showed a quick release on his throws. Desanto has solid arm strength and threw 82 mph during drills. Offensively, Desanto has a calm and balanced approach and a nice line drive swing. He hits within himself with minimal effort and makes solid contact. He has an idea what he wants to do at the plate and should keep improving with strength. He's a solid all around player with a future at the college level. Desanto is a good student as well.
