Ezekiel Spruill is a 2008 RHP with a 6'4'', 190 lb. frame from Woodstock, GA who attends Etowah HS. He has a long and slender build with lanky/loose arms and legs. Spruill throws from a controlled delivery with very little effort and a smooth, extended arm action. His fastball was up to 93 mph in Cincinnat and he usually throws 89-91deep into pitch counts. Spruill's out pitch is a big breaking 80 mph slider that has excellent depth. Spruill commands both his fastball and slider well and pitches ahead in counts. There is no reason that his stuff and pitchabilty shouldn't continue to improve and if scouts see steady low 90's stuff next spring Spruill could be a high pick. He is a good student.

Zeke Spruill is a 2008 RHP with a 6'3'', 185 lb. frame from Woodstock GA, who attends Etowah HS. He has a tall, lean body with long arms and legs. Sprull has a smooth and polished delivery for a young pitcher and does an outstanding job of repeating his delivery and release point. His arm action is long and loose, especially out in front. We've rarely seen a young pitcher with better command than Spruill, he threw 41/45 pitches for strikes during the championship game of the 2006 WWBA World Juniors. Spruill will cut or run his fastball at 86-88 mph and works both sides of the plate. He topped out at 90 mph and it's easy to project him to a mid-90's guy with his present build and arm action/looseness. Spruill's breaking ball is a true 80 mph slider that has late action and good sharp break. He usually throws a change up but didn't at this showcase. Spruill is a top level pitching prospect with a very high ceiling. He was named to the showcase Top Prospect Team.

Zeke Spruill is a 2008 RHP from Oviedo in Oviedo, FL, with a 6'3'', 185 lb. frame. Was named to the Top Prospect Team at the event. He has a tall and lean projectable body. He throws from a low 3/4 arm slot making him deceptive to the hitter, and Spruill has a loose and easy arm action. Spruill throws his tailing fastball from 84-86 mph and gets very good late life on the pitch. After he sets up hitters with his fastball, he throws a sharp breaking ball at 75 mph that can be a strikeout pitch at the next level. Spruill throws strikes with all of his pitches and shows pitchability on the mound. His secondary pitches are good for his age, and his fastball is only going to get harder. Defensively he has nice hands at first base and moves well around the bag. At the plate he is a rotational hitter with solid bat speed and projectable power. Spruill's upside is on the mound and he looks to be a good one.
