Arnulfo Vazquez is a 2007 MIF with a 5'10'', 170 lb. frame from Miami FL, who attends La Salle HS. He has a medium frame and good athletic tone. Vazquez has smooth defensive actions in the middle infield and is light on his feet. He tends to lay back on balls, which leaves him throwing flat footed. He appears to be best suited for second base in the future. Vazquez hits out of a balanced approach with a flat bat in back and a pre-load approach. He shows quick hands and some hand strength on contact and the ball comes off his bat pretty well on contact. He likes to pull the ball when he gets a chance. Vazquez's bat stays on the plane of the ball for a long time and probably produces plenty of line drives. He is also a good student.
