Levi Stevens is a 2008 LHP/1B with a 5'11'', 165 lb. frame from El Cajon, CA, who attends Grossmont HS. Stevens has a lean and athletic frame with projectability. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a short arm circle on the back side. Stevens has a quick arm and a solid delivery that helps project him to throw with more velocity in the future. He gets arm side run on his fastball that tops out at 83 mph. He also mixes in a 73 mph curveball with tight rotation. Stevens knows how to pitch and he goes right after hitters. He has a good tempo working fast, and the throws strikes. Good upside on the mound. Defensively he has good actions around the first base bag with body control. At the plate he is an aggressive hitter with bat speed through the zone. He takes a big cut, and likes the ball on the inner half. Stevens is a good student as well.
