Chris Forsten is a 2008 C with a 6'1'', 180 lb. frame from Warrenton, VA who attends Notre Dame Academy. He has a lean athletic build that can add some strength in the future. Forsten threw 77 mph during drills with a best pop time of 1.91. He has a quick, clean transfer that isn't rushed and made solid, accurate throws during games. He will need more exposure to hard throwing pitchers to soften up his hands and develop his receiving skills. Forsten is a quick, live bodied athlete and that benefits him behind the plate. Offensively, Forsten hits from a wide base with a short load and a quick upper body swing. Forsten uses his quick hands to pull the ball consistently. He isn't strong enough right now to have real power but he squares up on the ball well and hits within himself. He could get more lower half into his swing to help him drive it better. Forsten is a very good student.

Chris Forsten is a 2008 C from Notre Dame HS, residing in Warrenton, Virginia, with a 6'0"/180 pound frame. Chris hits from an open stance with a short stride and a balanced approach at the plate. He has lift in his swing with good bat speed and gap power. Forsten has explosive hands and good power potential. He has soft hands behind the plate with an accurate arm and 1.98 pop time. Chris has quick feet and a quick transfer with good receiving skills. He is an excellent student and top level prospect.
