Dylan Ramirez is a 2017 3B/1B, RHP with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Murietta, CA who attends Chaparral. Large, athletic frame with quality present build; some projection remaining as well. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.26 seconds. Hits from spread-out, open stance with simplistic timing mechanism. Repeatable swing. Shows good strength in swing with leverage off of front side, stays committed to the middle of the field and is able to lift the ball into the gaps with good jump off the barrel when squared up. Showed good footwork in the infield, fields cleanly to both sides with soft hands, shows good arm strength across the diamond with accuracy, clocked up to 83 MPH. Also showed good athleticism at 1st base, clean footwork both around and off the bag, makes pivot throws cleanly. Pitched as well, compact delivery and arm stroke through release from high three quarters arm slot, fastball worked 75-81 MPH with good command to both sides of the plate. Showed curveball with 11/5 shape and quality depth; threw strikes with both pitches and challenged hitters. Named to 2016 California Uncommitted Showcase Top Prospect List.
