Lamar McMillan is a 2017 OF/RHP, UT with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Mitchellville, MD who attends Charles Herbert Flowers High School. Large frame, lean, slender build, athleticism, and room to continue to fill out physically. Posted a 6.98 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary outfielder, showed a long arm action, worked through the ball with two hands, and threw from a lower arm slot. Developing arm strength to the bag. At the plate, started with a wide base, high hand set, high back elbow, and a quick leg lift timing mechanism. Linear swing plane through the zone with an inside out hand path. Swing worked primarily through hands with raw bat speed. Also pitched, started with a rocker step into delivery, tight leg lift past belt, open landing, long arm action, and threw from a three quarter arm slot. Landed online down the mound with balance. Fastball worked 70-73 mph and showed slight heaviness out of the hand. Worked in a changeup as well in the upper 60's with short fade.
