Mason Moszkowicz is a 2017 LHP/1B with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Spring, TX who attends Magnolia HS. Medium, athletic frame with square, narrow shoulders and shows present strength to frame with some room to still fill out. Ran a 7.77 60-yard dash. Primary lefthanded pitcher, begins delivery with a leg lift slightly up past belt, gets tall on backside, simple delivery and repeats well on the mound. Works from a lower slot and creates deception with it, front side opens early but helps to generate short running life on fastball that topped out at 82 mph. Quick arm action, creates solid angle and keeps the ball down in the zone mostly, can get to either side. Projects with additional lower half, induces ground ball contact with fastball due to life. Nice feel to mix, short sweeping curveball at 66 mph, will need to work on maintaining arm speed on the pitch. Throws curveball for strikes and effective pitch to lefthanded hitters, flashed a nice changeup with diving life down in the zone at 72 mph in which he maintained the arm speed nicely. Full swing from the righthanded batter's box, shows strength off the barrel when squared and flashed gap-to-gap type carry. Excellent student.
