Brandon Reed is a 2017 OF/RHP with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Los Angeles, CA who attends Venice HS. Reed has wide shoulders with a lean projectable build. Defensively he throws with a long arm action with arm strength up to 79 MPH. Reed works uphill on his throws and throws against a hard frontside. He slows momentum to field the baseall and showed developing outfield actions. At the plate Reed starts with a square stance with a leg lift trigger. He has a hand set tighter to his body and uses a hitchy hand load. He has a rotational swing and looks to pull the baseball. He made contact in BP to the middle of the field to the pull side with developing barrel skills. Reed pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with and induced a lot of ground ball contact. Excellent student.
