2015 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Chase Carlson is a 2018 SS with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Katy, TX who attends Taylor High School. Small frame, lean build that projects well physically with added strength. Posted a 7.15 60 yard dash. From the infield, showed quick feet, smooth transfer and a quick release. Moved well to the ball, probably best suited for second base. At the plate, open stance with a slight crouch and hands set close to the body. Inside hand path to the ball, line drive swing path with an up the middle approach. Makes consistent contact and should improve with age. Very good student.
