CJ Schreiber is a 2008 RHP/3B/1B with a 6'2'', 215 lb. frame from Altoona IA, who attends Southeast Polk HS. He has a thick, strong build that he can firm up some. Schreiber has a rock back start to his delivery with a full back turn and rotational upper body delivery. He's consistent with his arm stroke and with his release out front and has a good downhill angle to the plate. It looked like Schreiber threw both 2-seam and 4-seam fastballs, with his 4 seamer topping out at 83 mph and his 2-seamer showing good sinking and running life in the upper 70's. His curveball was consistent in it's spin and location and had a big, early downer break to it. Schreiber released his change up from a lower release point, perhaps trying to turn it over. Schreiber used his strength well with the bat as well. He has a all or nothing power approach, with a deep load and an aggressive pull oriented swing. The ball comes off his bat hard on contact and he's going to drive some balls when he gets his pitch.
