Dominic Deharde is a 2016 LHP/OF with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Sussex, WI who attends Sussex Hamilton. Smaller, athletic frame. On the mound shows a high 3/4 slot with solid arm whip. Quiet, balanced tempo with a low energy delivery that is very repeatable. Show good balance throught offering and stays on plane well. Creates downhill angle with fastball that shows some arm side run. Fastball ranged from 79-82 mph, topped at 83 mph. Curveball has 2/8 shape with depth, topped at 71 mph. Flashed a change up with deceptive arm speed that matches fastball offering, topped at 73 mph. Shows plus command of all pitches with the ability to work inner and outer edges. Maintained velocity through each inning of work. At the plate shows an uphill swing plane that produces some loft. Primarily looks to throw bat head out front and use pullside. Bat path is compact to contact and and gets to finish quickly. Also threw from the outfield with a loose overtop arm action, topped at 86 mph. Has deliberate actions to and through the baseball with clean actions on transition. Arm projects. Higher ceiling as a pitching prospect.
