Jake Haze is a 2018 SS/2B, 3B with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Highlands Ranch, CO who attends Thunder Ridge. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build. Frame projects to support additional size and strength. Ran a 7.18 sixty-yard dash. Primary shortstop with smooth, athletic footwork while rounding the baseball. Clean glove actions while funneling with quick exchanges. Generated good momentum to the bag while working through transition and created on line carry across the infield topping at 82 miles per hour. Switch hitter with an upright, slightly open stance. Moves into contact well with linear lower half actions. Barrel comes through the zone on a level, line drive plane from each side of the plate with solid raw power for size. Generated slightly more leverage at contact from the left side of the plate creating good back spin off the barrel. Good student as well.
