Parker Boelling is a 2016 RHP with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Ofallon, MO who attends Ft Zumwalt West HS. Nice athletic build, loose and projectable. Leg raise delivery, full long arm circle, shows the ball to the hitter behind his back, extended 3/4's arm slot on release, tends to drift out in his delivery and get ahead of his arm. Fastball topped out at 84 mph, mostly straight, pitches often up in the zone and will need to improve working down with his fastball. Has gained 3-5 mph velocity since the fall. Creates good spin on his curveball with occasional sharpness, sweeping shape. Developing change up. Should continue to improve with natural strength gains and physical maturity, key will be making adjustments to get his fastball down in the zone. Showed his athleticism and arm strength with a 4.96 forty and in outfield drills. Right handed hitter, long upper cut swing from a wide base, early hips and looks to pull the ball. Good student.
