Bradley Schatz is a 2016 OF/RHP with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Agoura Hills, CA who attends Oaks Christian HS. Large, athletic frame with long limbs and a lean, projectable build with room to fill out. Has quick-twitch muscle, ran a 6.76 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, shows repeatable mechanics in the field, fields closer to body, uses a crow hop to gain momentum, full arm action with strength at release, projects for more with continued incorporation of lower half into throws. Also pitched, shows a smooth and compact delivery, hides the ball well in the back and throws from an extended and low three-quarter arm slot. Stays tall on backside and incorporates lower half, some cross body at release with sinking life to fastball at 81 mph. Works to both sides of plate and challenges hitters in. Curveball showed sweeping life at 68 mph with occasional depth. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wide base and uses a knee twist trigger. Barred start but clears hips well in swing and creates consistent contact to the pull side. Aggressive approach, line drive swing plane with projectable bat speed. Shows ability to hit to all fields and keep hands in on swing. Good student.
