Matt Taylor is a 2009 LHP/OF from Columbus HS, residing in Midland, Georgia, with a lean and athletic 6'0"/160 pound frame. Matt pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with long and loose arm action. He has a balanced and online delivery with a downward plane to the plate. His fastball has good run at 84 mph with late life. Taylor has good arm speed on his 73 mph changeup with sink and fade. He also mixes in a 1-7 curveball at 75 mph. Matt hits from a slightly open and upright stance with a line drive swing plane. He looks to pull and makes consistent contact. Taylor has long arm action from the outfield with a solid arm at 78 mph. He has a good release and is a clean fielder. Matt is a good student.
