Dalton O'Boyle is a 2016 RHP/3B with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Fort Wayne, IN who attends Bishop Dwenger HS. Long loose athletic build, projects well physically. Slow paced delivery, very open and early front side, high 3/4's arm slot, will drop lower on some secondary pitches, arm is loose and tension free coming through. Low 80's fastball, topped out at 83 mph, steady velocity, gets good arm side running action down in the zone, fastball flattens out when up. Throws both a curveball and a slider, slider has good spin and depth and is his best secondary pitch. Lowers slot on cruveball release with a more open front side. Tips change up badly at present with mid-3/4's arm slot and a slower arm, throws change up only to left handed hitters. Can mix it up and stay around the zone, need to develop consistency with mechanics and release. Has the tools to keep improving. Good student.
