2017 Spring Top Prospect Showcase
Pat Diemer is a 2017 OF with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from West Des Moines, IA who attends Waukee. Large frame with long limbs and present strength. Ran a 7.42 sixty-yard dash. Primary outfielder with smooth, clean footwork while closing to the baseball. Generated good momentum while working through transition with fluid glove actions. Long arm circle at separation and released from a three-quarters arm slot. Throws produced accurate on line carry to the bag topping at 82 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, slightly open stance. Creates occasional shift into contact with rotational lower half action. Hands start at a slightly lower slot prior to launch to contact on a direct path to contact. Barrel comes through the zone on an uphill plane through extension generating good lift at contact. Showed good jump off the barrel with the raw power to drive the ball through each of the outfield gaps. Very good student. Committed to Central College.
