DeAngelo Abboud is a 2017 SS/2B with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Lawrenceville, GA who attends Brookwood. Medium, athletic frame with good projection remaining on build. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.10 seconds. Sets up to hit from spread, open start with high active hands and high back elbow. Leans forward to start, loads deep. shows quick hands through swing on line drive plane, good ability to control the barrel and spray liners to all fields with developing power and strength. Impressed defensively, moves well to the ball and has range to both sides with clean footwork, transfers well and gets feet in good position to throw, impressive arm strength across the diamond up to 88 MPH. Pitched as well, compact delivery with torso rotation through release. Clears lower half well and gets online with hips, throws from high three quarters arm slot and generates plane to plate, worked 82-85 MPH with his fastball and showed good command of pitch. Mixed in sharp, 11/5-shaped curveball with good depth and arm speed; threw strikes consistently with the pitch. Good student.
