Stephen Taylor is a 2007 P with a 6'3'', 230 lb. frame from Marietta GA, who attends Dominion Christian HS. He has a mature build and good present strength. Taylor throws from a drop and drive delivery style with a short, compact arm action and tight 3/4's release point. He has a fast paced delivery that likely is deceptive to the hitter and he does a good job of hiding the ball as well. Taylor's fastball was 71-74 mph with some running and sinking action. His best secondary pitch was a 65 mph change up that had some cutting action to it and he has the arm action to develop a slider if he wanted to. Taylor's curveball was slow at 57 mph and needs to be tightned up or switched out for a slider. Taylor showed the ability to pitch a bit, throw strikes and change speeds. He's a good student off the field.
