John Zaragoza is a 2017 SS/2B with a 5-6 140 lb. frame from Oxnard, CA who attends St Bonaventure. Medium build and frame with good athleticism throughout and good room to fill out more. Showed good hitting fundamentals throughout swing mechanics, well balanced swing, made solid contact to all fields with good weight shift into contact. Will make harder, more consistent contact as he continues to fill out and physically mature. Moves well to the ball in the IF and shows quality, soft hands with good athleticism. Makes consistently accurate throws with solid arm strength, topping at 76 MPH and profiling well at 2B. Good on the charge with solid footwork and ability to make accurate throws from different arm angles. Good student.
