Ty St. Amant is a 2017 MIF/RHP with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Leesburg, FL who attends Leesburg HS. Medium-large frame with strong, sturdy build. Primary infielder, fields the ball out in front. Solid transfer and exchange with good footwork, could get through the ball a bit more consistently, but made accurate throws from lower arm slot. Offensively, shows promise from both sides of the plate. Displayed a bit more bat speed, fluidity in swing from the left side. Shows comfort and ability to get extended, has strength in body, ball carries to pullside gaps well. Also pitched, a bit closed at foot strike. Has some deception in mechanics with a lower arm slot. Fastball up to 75 mph, shows running life to the armside and sinking action when located down in the zone. Flashed a curveball with depth, can keep hitters off balance and change their eye level with long, big break. Good student.
