Morse is a 6-0, 160 lb junior outfielder from Florida with a nice projectable athletic frame. He showed very good speed in the 60 by running 6.79 and threw 78 mph from the outfield with a short, quick arm action. Morse used his speed very aggressively during the games and looked like the type of player who liked stealing bases and challenging the defense. Morse is still a little young and weak to swing the wood with any authority but you can see his talent starting to bud. He hits from a wide stance with little load or weight transfer but has good quickness in his hands and a short line drive swing that serves his speed well. Morse should keep improving offensively as he gets stronger. He’s a good follow. Morse is also an excellent student

Morse is a slender 6-0 sophomore outfielder from Florida with a nice projectable body. This kid is a very good runner who looks like he likes the speed game, but has the raw physical ability to develop into more than just a speed player. Morse ran the 60 in 6.85, very impressive for a 2007 player. He was quick to first base on both ground balls and a perfectly laid down bunt and had good range in the outfield. At the plate, Morse hit out of a wide stance with a no stride approach and was short and quick to the ball. He made good solid contact and had an idea with his swing. When he gets stronger and learns to get some leverage and extension in his swing he could really blossom as a hitter. Good follow. Excellent student
