Matt McEndy is a 2007 OF from Malvern Prep in Malvern, PA with a 5'10", 175 lb. frame. Matt has a lean athletic build and swung the bat well during the showcase. He has very good swing fundamentals and uses his hands well to produce consistent hard-line drive contact. Matt has good bat speed at the plate, but has a tendency to get out early on his front side. Once he keeps his weight back he will drive the ball with even more authority. Matt is a very aggressive player in the field. He was quick to the ball and showed a good release during the workout. At times he looked a little tentative during the games, but you can still see his potential. Matt looks like a solid mid-level Division I recruit.
