Dane Tofteland is a 2014 3B/1B with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Okotoks, AB who attends Holy Trinity Academy. Nice projectable athletic build, some developing strength. Right handed hitter, upright balanced swing approach, loose swing with some extension and lift, sound fundamental swing, can drive the ball to middle of the field and go opposite field, ball carries off the barrel, sound fundamental swing and bat speed will improve with additional strength. 7.31 runner, some agility at third base, good footwork, arm strength still developing. Also pitched, high leg lift delivery, high 3/4's arm slot, steady mid 70's fastball, mostly straight, soft curveball with 11/5 shape. Good student.
