Hudsen Hagland is a 2014 SS/RHP with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Charlestown, NH who attends Fall Mountain Regional HS. Tall, big frame, wide squared shoulders, room to fill. Aggressive hitter, rotational swing, line drive swing plane, drops hands into load, pull approach, would hit for more power if he kept his front side closed through contact. Current approach leads to strong pullside tendency, has to the tools to hit and potentially develop power, looks to lift and pull at present, short backside to swing, takes hands to the ball well, has solid bat speed. Pitches from a high three quarters arm slot with long arm action, clean arm stroke. Doesn't get much backside push to delivery, relies on arm strength, potential to develop with more lower half use, low effort delivery, 12-6 curveball shape. Very good student.
