Kevin Rivera is a 2014 SS/2B with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Barceloneta, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. Medium frame with room to fill. Hits from a slightly open stance, legitimate switch hitting ability. Good bat speed from both sides, even more from the left side. Line drive plane from the right side with a short contact oriented swing, good balance, works the middle of the field well. Longer swing from the left side with more bat speed, more loft and more power. Very good ability from both sides, showed good in-game at bats going with the pitch well and using all fields. Good defensive actions, strong arm across the infield, quick feet, good hands. Very interesting prospect. Excellent student.

Kevin Rivera is a 2014 MIF/OF with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Barceloneta, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. Medium athletic build, beginnings of some strength. Switch-hitter, much better at present from the left side, very quick and short left handed swing with bat speed, squares the ball up hard with quick, loose hands. Less bat speed and looseness right handed, stays short enough to handle barrel. 6.76 runner, second base actions defensively, moves his feet well, compact arm action, hands are soft. Left handed swing is impressive. Very good student.
