Tanner Wood is a 2015 RHP/SS, 2B with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Pella, IA who attends Pella HS. Medium athletic build, some present strength with more to come. Long extended over the top arm action, pulls head off the plate to get his arm through, some effort. Fastball to 79 mph, mostly straight but with good downhill angle, downer curveball with a 12/6 shape and some spin, throws strikes and gets outs efficiently. 7.27 runner, shows athleticism and is a good base runner. Left handed hitter, long rotational swing, gets bat out and to his front side early, line drive swing plane. Good student.
