Ben Silverstein is a 2007 RHP/1B from Marin School of Arts & Technology, residing in Novato, CA with a 6'2" 180 lb. frame. Silverstein is built with athletic proportions. On offense he flashed some bat speed during the BP round at a showcase and was very aggressive in the box. He was looking to hit and to take advantage of his opportunity. Silverstein starts with high hands and flashed some gap power potential. He is a 7.76 runner. On defense he stays in front of the ball and plays hard. Silverstein was injured during the BP round of that showcase and was not able to play the games, hindering our opportunity to evaluate him at his primary position of pitcher.

Ben Silverstein is a 6'2" 180 pound 2007 right handed pitcher and corner infielder from Novato, California who attends Marin School of Arts & Technology. He has a large projectable pitchers body that is very lean and still has room for some weight. Silverstein has a short arm action and uses a finesse approach to pitching. He hits his spots with his 71 mph fastball that has some decent run to it. His curveball is 61 mph with good depth and late action. He has good poise on the hill as well. Ben has a slow deliberate delivery and when he keeps the ball down and works both sides of the plate is successful. He hits with a wide base and holds his hands high. He doesn’t use much of a stride and swings very hard showing some raw strength in his swing. During the workout, he ran a 7.75 60 and threw 68 across the infield. Ben has a projectable body that has more velocity in him with some added strength. He is a good student with a 3.6 gpa.
