Joshua Baumgart is a 2014 SS/RHP/OF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Sioux Falls, SD who attends Roosevelt HS. Medium athletic build, looks taller than listed, good present strength. 7.27 runner, versatile defensive player, outstanding arm strength from both infield and outfield, third base actions in the infield, good hands, stays balanced, will have to quicken exchange and release to stay in the middle infield, has legit right field tools in the outfield. Right handed hitter, deep hand load with early stride, aggressive swing, creates bat speed, best contact pulling, has hitting tools to develop with adjustments. Also pitched, very long and deep arm action, loose arm, on line athletic delivery. Fastball topped at 87 mph, mostly straight, big sweeping curveball with hard spin, showed good arm speed on change up, threw strikes with all pitches. Two way prospect. Very good student.

Joshua Baumgart is a 2014 SS/RHP with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Sioux Falls, SD who attends Roosevelt HS. Medium athletic build, some present strength. 7.33 runner, plays both infield and outfield, big arm strength in the outfield with athletic actions, grades out very high. Has some infield actions, arm strength still plays up, hands playable, loose and athletic, might be best suited for third base as an infielder in the future. Right handed hitter, spread stance, deep hands, long swing with some lift and bat speed, showed power to right centerfield, power approach on a smaller player. Also pitched, smooth delivery and clean arm action, good balance, 3/4's slot, repeats well. Low 80's fastball to 83 mph, keeps the ball down in the zone very well, nice feel for change up, breaking ball speed/depth varies with sweeping slurve break, can be an effective pitcher. Good student.
