Avery Owens is a 2013 OF/RHP with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Laurel, MS who attends South Jones. Medium athletic build.. Accurate throws from OF, arm works, solid footwork defensively. Line drive swing plane, good balance, longer swing, cuts off extension, slightly crouched stance. Touched 80 on the mound, pitches from 3/4 arm slot, late movement on fastball, low effort delivery, arm projects. Excellent student.
