Church is a 2005 RHP from New York, NY with a slim 6'0"/155 pound frame. He throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a smooth, fluid motion. He has solid mechanics and he pitches in-line. His fastball topped out at 79 mph and he keeps it down in the zone. He mixed in a 63 mph 10-4 CB and a 68 mph slurve to keep hitters off balance. He also showed a 71 mph change-up with some sink. He hits his spots well and has good command of all his pitches. He will be a very effective pitcher at the next level.Tom is an excellent student.

Tom Church is a slender 2005 6'0" right hander from New York with good pitching skills. He throws his fastball in the 78-80 mph range with very good life and late movement from a low ¾’s release point. Church’s breaking ball is an upper 60’s slurve with good hard biting action and he picked up a number of strikeouts with this pitch in Fort Myers. Church also mixed in a 67 mph change up. More strength is going to help Church improve the velocity and power to his pitches and he already does a number of things well on the mound. He knows how to pitch and should be very successful at the next level. Tom is an unbelievable student. 1500 SAT.

Tom Church: Church is a junior right handed pitcher from New York with a slender 6-0 frame that has plenty of projection. He throws from a high ¾’s release point with a sharp, high leg lift that he balances well. Church topped out at 82 mph on his fastball and did a very good job of keeping this pitch low in the strike zone with some sinking action. Church’s best pitch was a 69 mph curveball that had good 2-plane break to it and some sharpness. Church also maintained good arm speed on his 73 mph change up. His arm works well, very fast, and he has good control and quality to three pitches. It’s a matter of his getting physically stronger and adding some velocity to reach the highest levels. The foundation is there, so we expect Tom to throw upper 80s before he's done. He can pitch and Tom has an incredible "1440 SAT" score.
