Huffman is a 5-10 right handed pitcher from Florida with a medium build. He threw 3 innings in Fort Myers, exhibiting a clean, mechanical delivery that he was able to repeat and throw strikes with. Huffman’s fastball was 77-80 mph with some running action from a standard ¾’s release point and he commanded the pitch well. He keeps a good downward plane on his fastball and kept the ball down in the strike zone. Huffman tended to overthrow his 65-68 mph curveball, leaving it up in the zone at times. He also threw a 68-71 mph change up that worked well. He is your typical strike thrower and those kind are valuable.

Todd Huffman is a 2006 right handed pitcher from Lake Worth, FL, with an athletic and well proportioned 5'9" frame. He has solid pitching mechanics with a compact arm action that he repeats well and does a good job working the strike zone. Huffman’s fastball is in the 76-78 mph range, but he uses this pitch to set up his 65 mph curveball, which is a sharp, tight biting pitch that had many of the hitters fooled in Fort Myers. Huffman pitched four scoreless innings over two outings, striking out five hitters while allowing two hits. Huffman listed himself as a pitcher only, but did a very good job with the bat as well during games, lining a couple hits up the middle and showing a short, compact swing.
