Alex Ayers is a 2013 RHP/UT with a 6-3 170 lb. frame from Las Vegas, NV who attends Shadow Ridge. Ayers has a long lean projectable body with a greyhound type build. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a long arm action. He has raw mechanics with his frontside opening up early. He gets some extension out front with some down plane on his fastball. There's more velocity in his arm with a tweaked delivery. He throws a 12/6 curveball with occasional downer action on it. Ayers has developing actions in the outfield with some arm strength. At the plate, he has an aggressive approach and swings on a flat path. Excellent student.
