Damion "DJ" Hernandez is a 2013 3B/UT with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Indio, CA who attends La Quinta HS. Lean young athletic build, lots of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, open stance, low hands, loose easy swing, shows present bat speed with more to come, consistent hard game contact, drives the ball to all fields, can get long at times, should keep improving. 7.43 runner, some quickness but still working on defensive footwork, long loose arm, still getting feet under himself at 3B. Bat was pretty impressive. Excellent student.
