Konsler is an "06" C/3B from Lake Forest, IL. At 6'1/200 he has a strong big body that looks very good behind the plate. He shows adequate arm strength that will improve with a change to a shorter arm stroke. He sets up and receives nicely but needs to learn better technique for set up with runners on base. Overall he's an interesting big sophomore catcher who should be followed. At the plate he showed strong hands and a lot of patience. He generates good bat speed and might end up being a big time power guy with a little more aggressive swing. Stephen is a top student with a chance to develop into a top level prospect over the next couple of years.
