Devin Skapura is a 2013 RHP/C/OF with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Kingwood, TX who attends Kingwood HS. Nice young pitchers build, slender, projects well. Low effort balanced delivery, easy loose arm action, finishes well out front, 3/4's release slot, very clean delivery mechanics. Consistent mid 80's fastball, topped out at 86 mph, more velocity there, fastball mostly straight. Big breaking curveball with 11/5 shape, does slow a bit on CB release, potential to be a plus pitch, also tends to slow on change up. Throws strikes and pitches aggressively. Right handed hitter, short simple swing, squares it up well, line drives to all fields, tends to get overaggressive and expand the strike zone. Plays both catcher and outfield, better actions in the outfield at present, 7.06 runner, arm plays at both positions. Future is on the mound. Good student.
