Stone is a sophomore third baseman from Florida. Stone impressed us the most with his defensive play. He has good, quick reactions at third base, soft hands and a quick release on his throws. Stone showed good game arm strength and was also the hustling type of player who is going to make extra plays and help his teammates. At the plate, Stone has a balanced approach with a simple swing path and good bat head control. He showed the ability to turn on inside pitches in batting practice and pull them hard. Stone could develop into a nice hitter. He is a good student off the field.
