Matt Rotzien is a 2012 LHP/1B with a 6-6 200 lb. frame from Blaine, MN who attends Blaine. Big tall prospect with strength. Throws from 3/4 slot with slow tempo delivery and good mechanics that he repeats easily. Throws strikes and is around zone with three pitches. Fastball sat low 70s and showed arm side run. Kept pitches down in zone. 63 mph curveball had 1/7 break. Changeup showed sink. Very long arm action from 1B, hands field cleanly, has some feel. Right-handed batter with good leverage and balance in his swing. Has natural power and ball comes off the bat well. Good student.
