Stephen Smith is a 2013 OF/RHP with a 6-1 217 lb. frame from Wolfforth, TX who attends Frenship HS. Big thick barrel chested build, mature look for age. Very spread stance, simple repeatable hitting mechanics, short fluid swing, good bat speed, quick hands, obvious strength at contact, hits off a firm base, consistent hard contact, line drives with occasional lift, good extension out front for added power in the future. 6.88 runner, compact arm action, some raw arm strength, could work through the ball better. Also pitched, simple cross body delivery, over the top release, straight fastball to 84 mph, big sweeping curveball. Good student.
