Darian Fleming is a 2013 OF/LHP with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Beaumont, TX who attends West Brook HS. Compact medium build with good present strength. Left handed hitter, good balanced set up, smooth low effort swing, stays inside ball well, solid mid field contact, makings of some bat speed that could improve with more hand strength, patient hitter who sees the ball well. 7.93 runner, left field/first base tools on defense. Also pitched, balanced on line delivery, full wind up, 3/4's arm slot. Upper 70's fastball, topped out at 81 mph, fastball mostly straight, sweeping curveball with fair depth and spin, slows arm on change up, throws strikes and competes. Good student.
