Tyler Ward is a 2012 RHP with a 6-5 200 lb. frame from Nicholasville, KY who attends West Jessamine HS. Slender upper body with some lower half strength. Tall cross body delivery, very short stride that can be lengthened, arm is quick and loose, high 3/4's release point, throws at + downhill angle. Steady mid 80's fastball to 86 mph, nice slider with depth and good 2-plane angle helped by downhill plane, nice change up with good arm speed, could use change up more. Three solid pitches, throws strikes and pitches to spots. Will take a big step with added velocity, all the other pieces there. Good student.

Ward has a solid frame, good pitching body, high 3/4 arm slot, clean arm action, hip turn at balance, good down plane on fastball, change up shows plus late life, good feel for slider, also throws a tight 11/5 curveball, has good arm speed, stays on top of ball, good use of legs, he is also an excellent student.
